The Terms and Conditions below are the basis of the contractual relationship between Tibet Travel Service and its clients. It is extremely important that our clients understand and accept these Terms and Conditions as well as all web contents.
The payment of your deposit and/or the total tour fares will indicate that you and your travel agent (when applicable) have read these Terms and Conditions, and that you (and your agent) have accepted them.
The exact price depends upon length of stay, sightseeing programs, hotel standard, room or cabin type or other inclusions including, but not limited to airfare, transfers, rental cars, taxes or administrative fees.
Prices for land tour components cannot be guaranteed until reservations are confirmed along with payment of applicable per-person deposit. International airfare prices, availability, times and flights are not guaranteed until paid in full and may change without notice. Seasonal surcharges, restrictions and blackout dates may apply.
The prices include:
- Hotel accommodations with daily breakfasts
- Lunches or dinners with multi-soft drinks specified in the itinerary.
- Special Meal Arrangement or entertainment mentioned in the schedule.
- Tour escort services provided by English-speaking guides in each sightseeing spot
- Air-conditioned coaches or vans or cars served along the trip.
- The economy-class airfare of the domestic flight including all airport taxes or soft sleeper/ soft seat train charge between cities in the itinerary.
- Entrance fees for all of the sightseeing spots listed on the itinerary.
- Escorted Trip Leader for Small Group Tours with minimum 10 tour participants.
- Tibet Travel Permit
- Tibet Alien Permit
- China Insurance.
The prices exclude:
- International airfare.
- Single room supplement
- China visa.
- Tips and personal expenses
A $200 per person deposit is required at time of booking for land-only or air-inclusive tours. Certain tours may have a higher deposit. Deposits for other services may apply and vary by vendor.
Certain deposits are non-refundable. Refundable deposits will be honored only if the reservation is canceled in writing within 7 calendar days from the booking date, and are subject to vendor and airline penalties if applicable. Insurance premiums and certain vendor service fees are not refundable.
We accept Major Credit Cards, Personal Check and Bank Wire Transfer to make the reservation and pay the whole tours. Your payment is not deemed made until Tibet Travel Service receives it. We will draw US dollar (US$) from your credit cards.
Per person deposit is included in your total quotation. We will deduct the deposit charge from the total quotation when you make full payment. Financial charges related to making full payment is on your own.
Full payment is due 30 calendar days prior to commencement of services to be paid by Credit Card and Bank Wire Transfer and 45 calendar days prior to commencement of services by Personal Check for all tours unless otherwise specified. If we do not receive full payment by these dates, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
In the case of billing errors, we reserve the right to re-invoice with correct pricing.
Cancellation and cancellation fees
If cancellation is received by Tibet Travel Service (the parent company of www.tibettravel.cn) more than 30 calendar days prior to commencement of services (or 50 calendar days for certain tours), you will not be charged except non-refundable deposits. In all instances, no-shows are nonrefundable.
If a client cancels the trip, Tibet Travel Service (the parent company of www.tibettravel.cn ) must be notified by such writing as Email or fax. We calculate your refund on the day we receive the written cancellation notice by Beijing time. All refunds to the client will be processed within 30 working days of receipt of the cancellation notice.
The following cancellation fees apply to reservations:
- 30-16 days prior to commencement date of services: 20% of total price
- 15-8 days prior to commencement date of services: 30% of total price
- 7-1 days prior to commencement date of services: 50% of total price
- On commencement date of services or later: 100% of total price
Higher cancellation fees may apply for certain tours. Cancellation charges also apply to additional services, including accommodations and optional excursions, reserved prior to and after the tour.
If flight changes, including flight cancellations, are requested, revision fees or flight cancellation charges will apply and be subject to airline cancellation policies. If an air-inclusive tour is cancelled after air tickets have been issued, refund will be processed should the air tickets are returned to Tibet Travel Service (the parent company of www.tibettravel.cn ).
Proof of Identity
Photo ID is required for all travel, both domestic and international. Passports are generally required for international travel. You will not be permitted to depart without necessary documentation. There may be additional requirements for international travel such as inoculations or visas. Please check with the foreign affair departments of your countries for more information related to your travel destination. Special travel documents are required for children traveling with or without their parents. If you are traveling with children, please check with the airlines prior to departure.
Travel Health Information
Clients should take into account all international travel risks and familiarize themselves with health requirements applicable to the areas they intend to visit. Clients are solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of governments in countries visited or transited.
Travelers to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate stating that the he/she is fit to travel and his/her blood pressure and heart condition are normal. This is a necessary requirement because of the possible effects that the very high altitude may have on certain people.
For the most current worldwide health information, please consult your family physician or the official Website for the Center for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov/travel/. You will find information on recent outbreaks, required vaccinations, safe food and water tips, insect protection, illness and injury abroad, and more.
Free airline baggage allowance for international flights is 2 pieces per person with combined maximum linear dimensions of 107", for the domestic flights within Tibet and China is 1 bag with no more than 44 pounds (20KG) for the economy class, 66 pounds (30KG) for the business class, and 88 pounds (40KG) for the first class. We recommend for efficient travel that each passenger travel with only one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Excessive number, size, or weight of luggage may result in your inconvenience and/or surcharge. No responsibility is accepted for loss of or damage to baggage or any of clients’ belongings. Baggage Insurance is recommended.
Our tour packages include China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance up to a maximum of $29,000 provided free of charge as part of the packages. We still highly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance policies from your country of origin. Insurance provided by us is not applicable where only hotel or flight booking is purchased through Tibet Travel Service.
Complaints and Claims
Should you feel unsatisfied with any service we have provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.
In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, clients must inform Tibet Travel Service by email, regular mail, or fax in writing within 15 calendar days from the conclusion of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Tibet Travel Service will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 calendar days after the completion of your tour.

If for any unknown reasons, you have not received any reply from Tibet Travel Service regarding your tour status within 24 hours from the time you submitted the request for booking, modifying, or canceling a tour, please contact Tibet Travel Service customer service center at email@example.com or call at 011-86-29-8526-2406/2670 immediately.
Disclaimer of Liability

Tibet Travel Service shall not be responsible for travel delays or cancellations or for any illness, death, injury, damage or loss of vacation time arising there from. Tibet Travel Service shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveler in connection with, or by vendor employees or contractors, terrorist activities, social or labor unrest, mechanical or construction failures, or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climactic conditions, criminal acts or abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the control of Tibet Travel Service.
Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, inoculations, or other entry requirements of each destination, as well as re-entry into your country of origin, and all safety or security conditions at such destinations, in connection with the proposed travel.
