Day 1: Arrive Beijing
Depart to Beijing. Upon your arrival, you will be met by your English speaking guide displaying your name. Transfer with guide to your hotel in beijing where you will stay for 4 nights

Day 2: Beijing
Ful day tour including The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, The Summer Palace, The Temple of Heaven. Enjoy a succulent Peking duck dinner in the evening. Return to your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Beijing
After breakfast,your full day tour to the Great Wall,undoubtedly one of the greatest wonders in the world, and The Ming Tombs, the resting place for 13 of the 16 Ming Emperors and Sacred Way. Enjoy a Beijing Opera show in the evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4: Beijing
Private transfer with your guide for a full day tour to the Lama Temple, Beijing Zoo and explore the 'hutong'(residential area) in a pedicab or rickshaw and have a glimpse of traditional Beijing life. Go for some shopping in the afternoon at the famous Silk Markets. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: Beijing - Xian
Fly to Xian. After lunch you will enjoy a visit, with your guide, to the famous Bell Tower and Great Mosque in the Muslim Quarters. Enjoy a Chinese Dumpling Dinner (Jiaozi) and Tang Dynasty Cultural Show in the evening. (Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner)

Day 6: Xian
Full day tour to the Terracotta Warriors Museum and the Banpo Neolithic Village, an archaeological museum preserved on site. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7: Xian - Xining
You have a morning tour to the City Wall and big Goose Pagoda then a transfer to Xian airport in the afternoon for your flight to Xining. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8: Xining to Lhasa (train)
Today we have a full day tour to Qinghai Lake and the Sun and Moon Mountain.After dinner you board the over night train for your journey to Lhasa. The Cabins are pressurised and double glazed for the comfort of the passengers as it ascends into the high altitude of Tibet. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9: Lhasa
Today you traverse the highest train pass in the world at over 5000m. Enjoy the scenery of Jagged mountain peaks caped in ice and the permanently frozen Tibetan Plateau. Arriving late in Lhasa you are transported to your hotel.

Day 10 : Lhasa
Free day in the holy city of Lhasa, situated 3700m above sea level. Today is a chance to acclimatise to the high altitude in preparation for your sightseeing. Explore the streets and markets and get a feel for the unique Tibetan culture at your own pace. (Breakfast)

Day 11: Lhasa
After breakfast you take a guided tour to the immense Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery (the spiritual heart of the city) and Barkhor street to mingle in the crowds and enjoy the market activity. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12: Lhasa
Today you tour to the Norbulingka Monastery ( the former summer residence of the Dalai Lama) and Drepung Monastery - considered one of the three 'Pillars of The Tibetan State'. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13: Lhasa -- Chengdu
After breakfast you are trasfered to the airport for the flight to Chengdu -- Home of the Giant Panda. The rest of the day is yours to relax after your Tibetan experience. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 14: Chengdu - Shanghai
This morning you visit the Giant Panda Breeding Base and the Sanxingdui Museum. After lunch fly to Shanghai - China's city for the future. After checking into the hotel we have organized an evening Huang-pu River cruise to see the old Bund and new Oriental Pearl on both riverbanks.(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 15: Shanghai
After Breakfast, start your full day tour of Shanghai. You will visit the Bund, Shanghai Museum (one of the best in museums in China), fabulous Yu Gardens and the Bazaar. Tonight you are treated to a traditional Acrobatic performance. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 16: Depart Shanghai
This morning is free to explore the streets of Shanghai as you wish. In the afternoon you are transferred to the airport for the overnight flight on Air China back to Australia where your wonderful tour comes to an end. (Breakfast)
